To kick off our podcast, Chris Janzen, host of The Ignition Show introduces himself, the show and our mission.
Host Chris Janzen, Elite Success Coach, Ironman triathlete and enduring seeker, goes 1-on-1 with today’s most brilliant thinkers, researchers, teachers and achievers to uncover what it truly takes to pursue your potential. Janzen also shares his insights and stories from coaching and training 10,000+ achievers through high performance workshops and talks.
These conversations aim to leapfrog superficial hacks and dive deep into the truth behind the success and struggles – the mindsets, the wisdom, the lessons learned, the daily habits – that fuels extraordinary and everyday humans to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
We are capable of so much…but settle for less
Culture sends us to school to learn…but we don’t learn what we need to thrive
The Ignition Show explores the pathways to living as your best self through business and entrepreneurship, optimal health & vitality, and creating meaningful relationships but underneath it all it’s about the amazing capacity we all have to grow beyond our current situation, living life intentionally on your terms and embracing the beauty of the journey.
In this episode Chris outlines the four pillars that form the foundation for this show and the reason it was created. They are built on the belief that we are all able to achieve our dreams, live to our highest potential by living from our highest self.
Despite the potential that exists for each of us, psychologically we are designed to survive, not thrive. And society and our eduction system has evolved in a way that doesn’t support us becoming our best self – in fact it often keeps us to playing small and not owning our power.
Our potential needs positive reinforcement … but we are surrounded by negativity & drama
Our mind is designed for survival, not thriving
What we cover in this episode:
- Chris introduces himself and the concept for the show
- An outline of the format of each show and what to expect
- The four foundational pillars upon which this show and its creation exists
